So telegram "seem fishy", then don't use it. "Be more like signal", I agree! Use signal. If it's banned, then route around the ban. But throwing someone in jail because some anonymous shmuck thinks he's lying?
We don't hold telephone companies responsible for people using telephones to commit crimes but we hold newspapers responsible for what they print. The difference is in curation and moderation. The newspaper only prints what the editorial board wants. But I can pick up my phone and call anyone and say anything and the telephone company is not responsible. Neither should telegram be held responsible.
You know what seems "fishy"? This arrest and the vague and opaque warrant.
